Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Prompt Trends mobile application (the "Application" or "app") for Android devices, created by Sanii Verma ("Service Provider", "we", "us", or "our") as a free service. The Application is intended for use "AS IS".

Prompt Trends helps you discover, browse, search, save, copy, share, and reuse viral and trending AI prompts. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the app and how it relates to the features and third-party SDKs actually used in the product.

1. Permissions the app requests

The Android app declares these permissions:

• Internet — to load prompts, images, ads, analytics, and remote configuration
• Network state — to detect connectivity for loading content and ads

The app does not request GPS, precise location, camera, microphone, contacts, or SMS permissions.

2. Information we process

2.1 Automatically collected device & usage data

When you download and use the Application, the following may be collected through Google Play Services, Firebase, and AdMob:

• IP address and approximate location derived from IP (not GPS)
• Device identifiers used by Google advertising and analytics services (such as advertising ID where available)
• App interactions (screens visited, session timing, feature usage events)
• Device and app information (operating system version, app version, device model/language, crash and performance diagnostics)

2.2 Local data stored on your device

The app stores the following locally using Android DataStore (it does not leave your device unless you back up your phone or voluntarily upload content):

• An anonymous random user ID (UUID) used to associate favorites and uploads
• Theme preference (light / dark / system)
• Onboarding completion flag
• Favorite prompt IDs for offline access
• Daily interstitial-ad frequency counters

2.3 Prompt content you choose to upload

If you use the upload feature, the Application may send to our Firebase Firestore backend:

• Prompt title, prompt text, tags/categories, and AI-type labels
• Images or image URLs you attach
• Your anonymous user ID and upload status/timestamps for moderation

You should only upload content you own or have the right to share. Uploaded content may be reviewed, approved, rejected, or removed.

2.4 Prompt catalog you view

Browsing the gallery reads approved prompts and images from Firebase Firestore so the feed, search, categories, and detail screens can work. Viewing content does not create a public profile.

2.5 What we do not collect

• No account registration or email sign-up is required to use the core app
• No precise GPS location collection by the app
• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not ask for your name, phone number, or payment card details inside the app

3. Third-party services linked to this data

The Application uses third-party services that process data under their own privacy policies:

• Google Play Services — app distribution and platform services · Google Privacy Policy
• Google AdMob — limited interstitial / rewarded / app-open ads · AdMob & data
• Firebase Analytics — aggregated usage analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash and stability diagnostics
• Firebase Remote Config — feature flags and remote settings
• Firebase Firestore — prompt catalog and user upload storage

Ad networks may use advertising identifiers and approximate location (from IP) to deliver and measure ads. You can limit ad personalization in your Android settings (Google → Ads).

4. How we use information

• Operate and improve the prompt gallery, search, favorites, and upload features
• Show limited advertisements that keep the Application free
• Measure usage, diagnose crashes, and improve stability and performance
• Moderate user-submitted prompts and enforce our Terms
• Respond to support requests you send by email
• Comply with law and protect users, the Service Provider, and the service

5. When information may be shared

We may disclose information:

• to trusted service providers (Google / Firebase / AdMob) that process data on our behalf to run the app
• as required by law, legal process, or government request
• when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or investigate fraud or abuse

Approved prompt uploads may be visible to other users inside the Application as part of the public gallery.

6. Data retention

Local favorites and preferences remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall. Analytics, crash, and ad data are retained according to Google/Firebase/AdMob retention practices. User-uploaded prompts may be retained while needed to operate the gallery and moderation workflow. To request deletion of User Provided Data associated with your anonymous ID or uploads, email prompttrends.in@gmail.com.

7. Opt-out

You can stop all collection by the Application by uninstalling it using the standard Android / Google Play uninstall process. You may also reset or opt out of personalized ads in Android advertising settings.

8. Children's privacy

The Application is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at prompttrends.in@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. International users

Data may be processed in regions where Google and our infrastructure providers operate, which may include countries other than your own. By using the Application, you understand this processing is needed to deliver the service.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
